Karen White holds a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC – RCC #2280).

 

Prior to becoming a Clinical Counsellor, Karen was a teacher in both the public and private school systems. She worked extensively with adolescents (aged 11-19) struggling with learning, behavior, and emotional challenges.

 

Karen has extensive experience in dealing with marital conflict, relationship problems, and premarital counselling. She received training at The Gottman Institute in Seattle, Washington, a world-renowned organization that focuses on researching and restoring relationships.

 

Karen’s belief in professional development is demonstrated in her commitment to ongoing education. She has received additional training in the areas of addictions, grief and loss, and stress management. Karen also works with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery. She has completed foundation level training (including psychological anatomy) in SRT (Self-Regulation Therapy).
